I could literally go on and on about how amazing Janie was as a character.

I wanted to smush her and take her home with me, but I suppose Quinn would be pretty damn annoyed if I kidnapped his love interest. I fell in love with Janie, who right from the get go is a complete braniac, unconsciously witty and lovable. I’m going to try to not to give too much of this book away because, oh my lord, is it incredible – especially when you don’t know what is coming. I first read Love Hacked which is the third in the Knitting in the city series and I know with the other series I have mentioned the books as a collective where as these I have talked about separately – This is because while there is a connection, each can be read as a stand-alone and they all deserve a personal mention. This was the second book I read from Penny Reid, as I did not read the series in order. The last thing she expects is for Quinn- the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies- to make her an offer she can’t refuse. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan- aka Sir McHotpants- witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can’t afford. There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn’t know how to knit.Īfter losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can’t help wondering what new torment fate has in store.
